VBS at neighboring Digicel Orphanage

Sunday Afternoon - March 14

Team just finished a VBS at a neighboring orphanage. We are unaffiliated with this facility but share a common property line. Two years ago we did a VBS and the orphans and staff were so appreciative that before leaving the states we planned to spend an afternoon with them. As a result of the earthquake their numbers of children has increased. Currently 30 children. One child was left on the doorstep very malnutrition and small in size. They also took in 3 babies found on the street after the earthquake. Just unbelievable. JAN

Pastor Isaac and Madam Jacquet also took in 4 new children. It is estimate that as a result of the January earthquake an additional half million children are parentless. Israelson has mentioned several times that when driving into PaP there are children just wondering homelessly.

At least these children have someone willing to take them in.
