Rev. Thomas Bernard, Pastor of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, along with his family are safe. Rev. Markey Kessa, President of Evangelical Lutheran Church of Haiti, has confirmed that all the pastors of the confessional Lutheran pastors of the ELCH and families have survived, but at this point Pastor Markey has no idea of how many congregational members or school children are dead or injured. The Haitian pastors have been, day and night, trying to keep the injured alive and comforted until medical care arrives.
