
Port-au-Prince harbor destroyed by last weeks earthquake is the scene of people scrambling to leave the city by any means possible. Shipping containers thrown into water make boat docking difficult. As this vessel enter port people desperate to escape take to tiny rowing boats to reach it a mile off shore. Thousands are leaving areas of destruction and headed toward rural areas like Jeremie. Reports are coming in from that residence are helping as best they can but expect their already limited supplies to run out soon. Relief effort needs to start flowing into other parts of the Haitian island.
