Pastor Isaac emailed today.
He Thanks God for saving the lives of his family and the 30 orphans that live with them.
He said the roof of his house blew away in the storm but they are safe.
The Jeremie District was hit hard. Pastor tells us that he lost several churches in the villages. The one pictured below is Mar Franc where we did our medical clinic last March.

Dame Marie is another church/school that has been damaged. This is the school that has the feeding program that many of you support.

Pastor has not been able to travel to most of the villages yet but has word that at least 8 churches have been damaged or destroyed.
Pastor also sent pictures of the trees and gardens that have been destroyed. The Haitians depend on the mango trees and the gardens for their food. He said starvation will soon follow.

Water supplies have been contaminated by the flooding which will make the cholera epidemic even more severe.
It is hard to believe all that these people continue to endure. Please pray for Pastor as his work is not just rebuilding churches and schools but comforting those that have been hurt and helping them find shelter and food.
If you have been thinking of getting involved with a mission project this is the time to do it. Don't wait. There is so much need and so much you can do to help. If you are a nurse go with us to Jeremie in March. If you can't travel, help us collect items we need to take with us. If you don't have the time, support an orphan, raise money for a new roof for Pastor.
